Hello and greetings to alll! :D
Its really been such a long while and i do apologise for that because i have been so busy with my new work, gatherings, and stuff that this long post is delayed till now! :D
Hope everyone is doing fine, and for those who have started school, a new series of exciting activities awaits you! :D

So i will continue on from where i can remember and it falls on last Monday, 07/01/2013.
i was sleeping soundly until a call waked me up at around 10am in the morning! :D
A lovely lady called Jaclyn called me and asked me if i could go down for a one day receptionist job!
it's 10bucks per hour and the company had a very beautiful office! :D
There was no way to reject such a good offer and she asked me if i could reached Raffles at 11pm!
but because she remembered i live in Pasir Ris, she say she'll help me push back to 11.30pm so i have ample time! aww mann <3
And she even promised to get me a long term job! :D :D :D

That really made my day! So i bathed and i quickly made my way to Philips 66 at One Raffles Place.
To be frank, i think the tall buildings in raffles all look so...identical, and i had such a hard time finding the correct place i was going. But anyway.
YES, it was indeed beautiful and i was received and warmly welcomed by another lady called LiLi.~
She taught me about the basic stuffs i had to do, like booking meeting rooms for the workers, transferring calls,attend to walk in and parcels!
...
Initially, cause it was still early, i had nothing much to do,so she just gave me a simple task of recycling used envelops into new ones (below) so it would be easier to pass time! :D

Transferring calls, and all seems really fun for a newbie like me, like pretending to be professional saying, "hello, Philips 66, this is huixin, how can i assist you?"

Ahhah, but time seems pretty fast there, very free and easy as well, cause i was the only one at the front desk and there is no stress compared to sales, like you need to hit a certain target to earn (like my old ANZ one).

At around 3pm, LiLi came back from Lunch and she bought me twelve cupcake and insisted that i went off for my 15 minutes (paid) break cause i needed a rest!

I felt really touched by her genuine and concern for me and i think that her child is definitely very fortunate, cause she was more than willing to take over my receptionist role for that time when i rested when she was an executive in the human resource department. ^^
Honestly deep regrets for not saving her number so that i could sent her a long sms to convey to her how much i appreciate her despite the short 6 hours there, and i am really thankful to have known her! ^^

Anyway, on Tuesday, i was called down for an interview by my agent called Wayne, for a 1-month job.

Cause i was basically rotting at home already + dam desperate, i went ahead to meet him, then to a interview area and i tell myself die die must get the job cause my new year resolution is to be more independent financially. ^^

Yupp, so things kind of went my way and the manager who interviewed me was pretty friendly though i can see that she is really serious when it comes to real business. So on Tuesday, i was officially accepted by fossil to be their 1-month temporary customer service staff! :D
I searched a little about fossil and its wide array of duties and strong branding is something that i can take with me (together with the pay) so i take it as a kind of exposure! :D
Yupp, after that i went over to my tutee's house for the very first tuition lesson!
There was actually some miscommunication because it turns out that there were two students (sisters), both of them in different streams though same level and their family was facing financial problem.
After guiding them for a lesson, i find myself deeply immerse in the education industry and i think that the pay should not be the key factor for tutoring, though it by itself can be a form of motivation.
The two are lovely kids, innocent and allows myself to communicate with them freely. ^^

Anyway, the fees are settled by now, and i will do all i can to help them not only because they are my first student, but that drive within me tells me that i just got to do it. (also because i am paid and the dad works very very hard to hire me).
...
So on Wednesday, i was daddy's little girl and he motor-biked me to work! :D
Heheheeee, actually i think although i always fight with my daddy, i still love him a lot, and im still my daddy's little princess! <3

I met my new colleagues, they are all really really nice and i think this good working environment kind of compensates for the low pay.
They will always be there to help me when i need problems, they dont show any signs of seniority, like who is leader, coordinator, manager.
A new trainee like me is just like an old worker, they trust me, they encourage me, and they even gave in to me by allowing me to knock off at 530 on tuesday and thursday so that i can rest and make it in time for tuition. And knowing that i would starve while rushing to tutee's house, they bought me pizza during their lunch time so that i can have it on my way to my tutee's house.

So i really love my colleagues so much! <3

But it tends to get really cold in the office and they would actually offer me their jacket (when i already brought one myself) to ensure that a little young girl like me would be comfortable.

But things can get a little stressful at times, when we fail to find the watches, or minor conflicts occur with the heads, but things will turn out fine eventually and they will laugh it off.

Their working attitude is something that i must learn from them in this short 1-month! ^^

Friday was per normal work, just that i met my mummy for dinner, and went to visit my grandmother for a while.! It's been so long since i visited her so we had quite a good chat, and im so happy to have spent some real quality time with her, though i know that the short 45 minutes is hardly enough actually. ):
Anyway, on Saturday, i went with Sam to work at Dempsey Hill for John Erdos warehouse sales! My cousin is on dam good terms with them so he introduced me there and i could bring a friend along! :D
It's dam pretty the place so i wanna take my boy there next weekend (maybe?) so we can photospree that and i can treat him to the nice food also cause my pays would be coming in by then, slowly, but surely! :D

There were a lot of people working as well, but basically we just have to stand there, know basic information, then write invoice for the customer so that it would be easier for the cashier people. (:
Lunch was all provided and we had to eat as fast as we can cause we go lunch in groups so that no section would be left unattended! :D
Most of the purchases were made by angmohs and i made to snap a few photoz of my section i was in charge of! :D

Yupp, this event ended today (Sunday, 13/01) AND the supposed pay is 8per hour, 9-5 so around $64 bucks per day, but somehow the perm staff manage to fight for us and the overrall anymoh boss decided to give 1hour10bucks! :D

So at least for now, i have some money to tide the month through because all my salary is given!

Throughout this event, i managed to talk to some of those worker uncles that were in charge of loading and unloading and to be honest, it actually hurts me to see them suffering and working so hard to get the delivery done when they are only given a meagre sum of money ):

there's this one particular uncle thats dam cute one, always smiling and dancing around no matter how tired he is! :D

So i took a photo with him! :D

and on Saturday night, i met my boy for dinz as well!

We havent really been spending quality time together cause im just dam busy with new stuff in my life and i tend to neglect him i think.

So i am secretly looking forward to the next weekend!! :D <3
